|
How to fill out a ticket - WIN & PLACE
| Step 1 |
Mark the Race Venue allocated for the meeting. During the Spring Carnival the key races will be in M (Melb).
|
| Step 2 |
Mark the race Type.
R for Thoroughbred racing, G for Greyhound racing and H for Harness racing.
|
| Step 3 |
Select the Race Number.
|
| Step 4 |
Mark how much you want to spend. For an Each Way (your selections to Win and Place) bet, you need to mark a spend amount in both WIN and PLACE. e.g. $5 each way for a total spend of $10.
|
| Step 5 |
Mark the corresponding number of your selected runner(s) in Selections box, e.g. 6.
You can choose as many as you like, but the more runners you select the more the bet will cost. The cost of your Each Way bet will be the number of runners x the total investment. For example - 3 runners for $5 Win and $5 Place will cost $30.

Mark how much you want to spend. This is where Flexi betting comes into play. The amount you mark on your betting card will be the exact amount that your bet costs, no matter how many selections you include. If you win, you receive a percentage of the full dividend.
|
| Step 5 |
Single Trifecta Bet
Make 1 or more Selections in each selection box.
Box Trifecta Bet
Select three or more runners. Mark your selections in the 1st Selections box only. Your runners can finish in any order in the top three, as long as they come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
For example 1st Selections - 3, 2nd Selections - 5, 3rd Selections - 8. With this combination you are wagering that the finishing order of the race will be 3, 5 and 8 in that order.
Standout Trifecta Bet
Mark the 'standout' box and in the 1st Selections box mark the runner that you think will finish in 1st place. Then select two or more other runners to fill 2nd and 3rd place. These selections should only be marked in the 2nd Selections box. The 3rd Selections box should be left blank.
